The Nets should explore packaging Terance Mann, Ziaire Williams and Day'Ron Sharpe for an additional first-round pick from a contender such as the Oklahoma City Thunder. Brooklyn holds the No. 6 overall selection and the No. 33 pick after one of the league's worst records. Those three players carry modest salaries and fit the profile of low-cost rotation pieces that title contenders value.

Brooklyn has no glaring positional holes and should simply select the best prospect available at No. 6, whether that is Darius Acuff Jr., Mikel Brown Jr. or Nate Ament. Adding a second first-rounder would let the front office double down on youth without sacrificing flexibility or paying luxury-tax money for marginal veterans. The Thunder, already stacked with young talent, have shown willingness in past drafts to move back when they see better value elsewhere.

If the deal materializes before June 23, the Nets could exit the draft with two prospects who accelerate their timeline while shedding salary. That outcome would give Sean Marks more ammunition heading into free agency and set up a deeper bench for the 2026-27 season.
