The Philadelphia 76ers have added Vanderbilt guard Duke Miles to their roster with an Exhibit 10 undrafted free-agent contract. The deal comes on the heels of the 2026 NBA Draft and mirrors a recent move by another Vanderbilt alum, AK Okereke, who signed a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Miles was a key contributor for the Commodores during the 2025-2026 season, helping the team post a 27-9 record and finish as runner-up in the SEC Tournament. He averaged 16.1 points, 4.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game, establishing himself as the primary scoring threat in Vanderbilt’s offense.

His offensive arsenal centers on aggressive drives to the basket, complemented by a developing three-point shot. He shot 34.8 % from beyond the arc and 43.5 % from the field overall. The highlight of his college career came in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals against Tennessee, where he poured in 30 points on 11-for-14 shooting and knocked down four of five three-pointers.

An Exhibit 10 contract gives Philadelphia a low-risk opportunity to evaluate Miles in training camp and the summer league. The deal includes a bonus that encourages him to join the team’s G-League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, and provides the Sixers the option to convert the contract into a two-way slot if he proves himself.

The Sixers’ guard rotation has leaned heavily on perimeter shooting, so Miles’ ability to improve his three-point consistency will be crucial. His defensive work, noted throughout the season, offers additional value for a club that prizes two-way players. If he can translate his driving aggression and defensive effort to the NBA level, he could become a versatile depth piece.

The next step for Miles is to showcase his talents in the summer league and earn a two-way contract. Success will depend on adapting to the NBA three-point line, maintaining shooting efficiency, and delivering consistent defensive intensity. Should he meet those benchmarks, the Exhibit 10 could evolve into a lasting role with the Sixers or their G-League partner.
