This blunt response signals Detroit's firm intention to retain their young big man.

Duren just wrapped up his best professional season, averaging 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds while shooting an impressive 65 percent from the field. This leap in production earned him his first All-Star nod. As a restricted free agent, the Pistons hold the right to match any offer sheet Duren signs, regardless of the amount.

From a basketball perspective, Detroit's stance is entirely logical. Duren has blossomed into a legitimate force on both ends of the floor. His ability to finish efficiently around the rim, gobble up rebounds, and protect the paint makes him an invaluable piece for the Pistons.
